Many of Duffy's portraits were taken for Vogue or the Sunday Magazines which were launched in the 1960’s. Duffy was in demand by all the top glossy magazines of the day - Vogue, Elle, Queen (later to become Harpers & Queen). Portraits were also taken for Nova, Town. In 1972 Cosmopolitan was launched and Duffy featured in three of the first five magazines. Portraits were taken for features to promote films and TV shows, authors, artists, musicians, pop groups, sportsmen, and politicians all came to Duffy's studio in Swiss Cottage to be photographed; and if they were lucky they would join him for the weekly Friday night dinner parties which were always a riotous affair.
