Actor and Screenwriter Buck Henry (1930 - 2020) on the set of 'The Man Who Fell To Earth,' in Madrid, New Mexico. The now cult film Henry starred in alongside David Bowie.
In the film, Buck played the role of an attorney but is perhaps best known for The Graduate, Catch 22, and for hosting Saturday Night Live. Credited with being an architect of American Comedy.
Duffy visited the set to document the highly unusual circumstance of an all-British crew filming in the US at a cost of £1.75 million. Taking his opportunity to reunite with Bowie after the Aladdin Sane album cover session, Duffy took a series of pictures of David as the Thin White Duke which were never published. The article titled 'The Space Oddity' was published on the 14th of March, 1976.
