The Hollies photographed in 1972 ten years into their career which still continues to this day over 55 years on. With at least 60 charting singles and 26 chartings worldwide, 30 of those singles charted in the UK.
An image from this session was used as the cover for the EP on EMI records released in Mexico in 1973 for the hit single "He Ain't Heavy He's My Brother."
Terry Sylvester - pictured on the front left - had replaced Graham Nash on guitar and vocal as he left to form Crosby Stills & Nash.
Bobby Elliot, the drummer at the rear left of the photo along with Tony Hicks (right) are credited with founding and staying with the band since it's formation. Also pictured are original lead singer Allan Clarke (Front), and Bernie Calvert (center) who played bass.
They are one of the few British groups along with the Rolling Stones who have never disbanded and continue to record and perform. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2010.
