British Photographer Anthony Armstrong-Jones, 1st Earl of Snowdon (7 March 1930 – 13 January 2017) Photographed in December 1959 at Vogue Studios.

The following year (after his marriage to Princess Margaret), he gained the title Lord Snowdon. Tony and Duffy were both shooting at the Vogue studios when Tony wandered into Duffy’s session to borrow some props. Duffy (never one to miss an opportunity) put the monkey in his arms and captured the moment.

The image was published six months later in Vogue's April 1960 edition.
