Shot by Duffy for the Nova Magazine cover in May 1971 with the title 'How to undress in front of your husband.' Amanda Lear was one of Duffy’s more controversial models. It was thought that Amanda had, in fact, been born male - something she has never confirmed one way or another. In one interview, she claimed that David Bowie had started the rumour. Duffy loved controversy and likely chose to work with Amanda for that reason.
The feature had multiple images that were designed to be cut out of the magazine and turned into a flip book strip tease. One of these sequences included an iconic Panton chair.
Amanda has had a highly successful career in several different genres and was a longtime muse of the artist Salvador Dali.
