This cover features British Politician Jeremy Thorpe (29 April 1929 - 4 December 2014). Pictured two years before the political scandal now known as the Thorpe Affair that needlessly ended his political career.

The article by Ken Martin titled 'When I Grow Up' investigated unfulfilled childhood ambitions, which led to a collection of public figures of the time dressed as directors, racing drivers, soldiers, ringmasters, performers and pilots!

Duffy photographed a series of prominent figures from the era, including Joan Bakewell, Leo Abse, Kingsley Amis, Henry Cooper, Fanny Craddock, Denis Healey, Bruce Lacey, and Cliff Michelmore. Flora Robson, Harry Secombe, and George Woodcock for an Observer piece on Childhood Ambitions.
