Mike Henry in Acapulco on the set of 'Tarzan and the Valley of Gold.' (1966). Mike Henry, originally an American Footballer, played Tarzan in three movies before going on to star in "M*A*S*H" and Smokey and the Bandit trilogy.

The article states that Mike Henry won the lead after director Sy Weintraub interviewed over 400 actors for a year to find the perfect Tarzan.
