

Charlton Heston (1923 - 2008) for Town magazine in December 1965. The article "Rough Suede for a Rough Trade" had the actor, who was 42 years old at the time, modelling the latest suede jackets. His outfit is described as a Safari Jacket by Peter Goodfellow and a Ben Sherman check shirt.
Heston appeared in 100 films over 60 years. By this point, his main hits included "The Ten Commandments" and "Ben-Hur", for which he won an Academy Award. "Planet of the Apes" followed in 1968, and he notably played Detective Thorn in "Soylent Green" (1978). From 1998-2003, Heston became head of the National Rifle Association of America.
