Vogue - Mid February 1959

Duffy had been at British Vogue for 6 months by February 1959. This is Duffy's earliest known image of Jennifer Hocking.

Immediately his early creativity can be seen by his posing of Hocking in front of a torn paper backdrop.

This is the beginning of a departure from the formal studio sessions at Vogue with Duffy taking models into the world and adding movement and excitement to fashion photography.
