The article by Meriel McCooey featured Mary Quant’s latest garments for The Ginger Group. This outtake was not used in the final piece.

Mary Quant said of this specific selection: "They are not as silly as they seem. I noticed that girls in short skirts were kicking their legs around more than before and the results weren't always attractive. I thought that I would design underclothes which are intended to show."
