'Shining Examples' was a feature in the Sunday Times by Meriel McCooey, published on the 9th of October 1966.
Joanna Lumley (rear) poses with an unknown model in sequinned shift dresses, which were available for £31 from Maxine Leighton's boutique on Conduit Street.
Joanna Lumley was interviewed in 1967 and said of a Duffy studio session, 'He is great to work with; you go in there and three hours later when you've finished all the bottles of wine, talked about everything and listened to 100 records of old war songs; somebody arrives with a little handful of clothes, out come all the paper flowers, and he's standing there with the camera. He makes you go on talking, and he makes you sing! He gets bolshy - I'm not taking the picture unless you sing, go on! sing! - So you have to stand there singing. It's great! All these pictures of dodgy birds with their teeth showing!'
