Vidal Sassoon was a British and American hairstylist shot by Duffy.
Opening his first salon in Mayfair in 1954 Sassoon intended to design new and efficient hairstyles. 10 years later Sassoon recreated the classic "Bob Cut" which became a staple of the Swinging Sixties movement worn by people such as Mary Quant. In 1965 he did his iconic five-point cut on model Grace Coddington. By the 1970s he had become a worldwide brand promoting his second in command to the director so he could focus on hair care products. By the 1980s he sold his business interests to devote himself to philanthropy.
