This portrait of George Harrison with his former wife Pattie Boyd was taken in Monaco in 1966 at the filming of the cult movie ‘Grand Prix’. 1966 was the year that the Beatles performed their last US commercial tour. George was the lead guitarist with the Beatles and was known as the ‘quiet Beatle'. His influence on the group led them into eastern mysticism and he was a student of Ravi Shankar who tutored him on the Sitar. George set up the Material World Foundation which supports over 75 hugely diverse charities around the world.
